Nancy Jean Kiff Terwilliger, 84, of Stone Ridge

Nancy Jean Kiff Terwilliger, 84, of Stone Ridge, passed on Thursday, March 2, 2017, peacefully at her home.

She was born Oct. 8, 1932, in Kingston, to the late Ralph and Eva Kiff.

Nancy was a 1951 graduate of Kingston High School. She was married for 50 years to John B. Terwilliger until his passing Dec. 26, 2001.

In her younger years, Nancy worked as a waitress at Ivan’s Inn and also the Holiday Inn. She also had been the owner of a small diner in High Falls. She later worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier until retiring in 1989.

She is survived by her six beloved daughters, Gloria and her husband Russell Bogert of Stone Ridge, Cindy and her husband Arnold Radwich of Rochester, Patricia and her husband Michael Jones of Hurley, JoAnne and her late husband, Robert McNally of Kingston, Jody and her late fiancé, George Peck of Stone Ridge, and Pamela and her husband Richard Luedtke of Stone Ridge. Also her beloved grandchildren, Stephanie and partner Jeffrey, John and wife Joanne, Brooke, Selena, Nicole, LeeAnn and husband Matthew, Rebecca, Chelsey, Whitney and partner Mikaël, Chase, Hailey, Shadoe, Gregory, and Cole; and her great-grandchildren, Aidan, Eva, Harrison, Sara, and Lydia. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marie Terwilliger, Pauline Shurter, and Araceli Kiff; and her dear friend and cousin, Francis Elmendorf.

A brother, Ralph Kiff of Washington state, and a sister, Gloria Mattice of Stone Ridge, both died previously.

Visiting hours will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. A Service to Celebrate her life will begin at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Arlene Dawber will officiate. Cremation will be held privately.
