Glenn E. Sunderman, 96, of Lake Katrine
LAKE KATRINE
>> Glenn E. Sunderman, 96, of Lake Katrine, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Northern Dutchess Hospital.
Born in Huntington, Indiana, he was the son of the late Carl and Elizabeth Gunzenhauser Sunderman, the second child and first son. He was born on a farm. He LOVED it, and the family did not receive electricity until after he graduated from high school. He progressed from that kind of a life to being on Facebook at age 96! Glenn was a retired farmer and truck driver for Huntington Hatchery. He was also a photographer for the Winter Texan Times in Mission, Texas, for many winter seasons. Glenn enjoyed music, photography, gardening, bird watching and word find puzzles.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 72 years, Virginia Lamb Sunderman of Lake Katrine, whom he married on Nov. 19, 1944; a daughter, Bonnie Langston and her husband, Sid Leavitt of Lake Katrine; and two grandchildren, Brett and Todd Langston of Ravena, N.Y.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by a son, Roger Lee Sunderman, who passed in 1970.
Glenn will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The funeral service and interment will be held privately.
