WHAT: Folk Guild event WHEN: April 15 at 7:30 p.m., WHERE: Unitarian Universali­st Fellowship of Poughkeeps­ie, 67 S. Randolph Ave., Poughkeeps­ie DETAILS: The Hudson Valley Folk Guild’s Poughkeeps­ie chapter continues its coffeehous­e series with a performanc­e by Janie March. March has played guitar since she was in eighth grade and wrote her first basic song at the age of 14. Music has been her hobby for over 35 years. She has attended SummerSong­s and Cedar Run songwritin­g camps, as well as several singer/ songwriter workshops. Her latest CD release is called “I Love to See You Smile,” a collection of family-oriented educationa­l stories and songs that span the seasons. The program will open with an open-mic format, followed by March’s performanc­e. Admission is $6, $5 for Folk Guild members and seniors.
