Harry St. Clair Webster, 85, of Red Hook, N.Y., and Maui, Hawaii, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017, surrounded by his family at home.

Harry was born on Sept. 25, 1931, in Sleightsbu­rg, N.Y.

He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1948 to 1954 as a Staff Sergeant. He attended Albany Business School and Woodbury College. He worked as an investment advisor in California and later returned to New York where he owned and operated several laundromat and dry cleaning businesses for 55 years. He later retired from IBM in 1993.

Harry married Lorita K. Webster on July 16, 1952. Together they raised five children: J. (Gayle) Webster and Paul (Megan) Webster of Red Hook, N.Y.; Susan Moikeha of Kula, Maui, Nancy (Michael) Dahl of Broomfield, Colo., and Jacqueline (Gary) Cockett of Wailuku, Maui. He is remembered by his 20 grandchild­ren, 15 greatgrand­children and one greatgreat-grandchild. He is survived by his sisters, Alberta Gubinski of Kingston, N.Y., and Lillian Fasula of Las Vegas, Nev.

He was predecease­d by his parents, Raymond and Anna Webster; his brothers, Raymond and Clarence Webster; and sister, Roberta Webster.

Interment will be private and will be held at a later date. His ashes will be laid to rest at the Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii. In his memory, donations may be made to the Dutchess County Hospice at hvhospice.org.
