The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
Catskill
· Burglary: John R. Walker, 34, of Catskill was arrested at 11:45 p.m. Friday by state police at Catskill and Coxsackie on felony charges of burglary and criminal contempt, as well as the misdemeanors of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal mischief and assault. He was held pending arraignment.
· DWI: Jose Dominguez, 34, of Hudson was arrested at 3:05 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 9W by state police at Coxsackie on a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving, as well as the infractions of speeding and no license. He was released on tickets to appear in Catskill Town Court.
Ellenville
· Burglary: Rasheed Shiek Hassan, 24, of 15 Roslyn St., Ellenville, was arrested Thursday evening on felony charges of burglary, criminal contempt and aggravated family offense, as well as the misdemeanors of criminal mischief, unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child. He was also charged with the violation of harassment. Ellenville village police said officers responded to a call for a violent domestic dispute on Canal Street at 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Investigation revealed that a female victim, along with her 2-year-old child and a female friend, were in a residence when Hassan entered the home without consent and in violation of an order of protection, police said. After entering the residence, Hassan punched the female victim in the face and took her cell phone, repeatedly threatening her in the presence of her child, police said. Police said Hassan refused to allow the woman to leave the residence, but then fled before officers arrived. Hassan later turned himself in to police on a warrant, police said. He was arraigned in Ellenville Village Court and sent to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Esopus
· Aggravated unlicensed: Ronald L. Epps, 55, of Poughkeepsie was arrested at 11 a.m. Friday on U.S. Route 9W by state police at Highland on a felony charge of aggravated unlicensed driving, as well as the infraction of speeding. He was held pending arraignment.
Milford
· DWI: Dana M. Bell, 40, of Rhinebeck was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Saturday on state Route 199 by state police at Rhinebeck on a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving. She was released on a ticket to appear in Milford Town Court.
New Paltz
· DWI: Conner W. Polchinski, 21, of New Paltz was arrested at 1:41 a.m. Saturday on state Route 32 by state police at Highland on a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving. He was released on a ticket to appear in New Paltz Town Court.
· DWI: Alexander F. Tibbetts, 24, of Hyde Park was arrested at 4:10 a.m. Saturday on state Route 299 by state police at Wawarsing on a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving. He was released on a ticket to appear in New Paltz Town Court.
Rochester
· DWI: Vanessa L. Budd, 47, of Accord was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Saturday on Queens Highway by state police at Wawarsing on misdemeanor charges of aggravated drunken driving and drunken driving. She was released to a third party on tickets to appear in Rochester Town Court.
Saugerties
· Endangering: Donald E. DeGroat, 47, and Cheri L. O’Connor, 35, both of Saugerties, were arrested Friday evening by state police at Ulster and each charged with the misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child. DeGroat was additionally charged with the violation of harassment. Both DeGroat and O’Connor were arraigned and released on their own recognizance to appear in Saugerties Village Court.
