Pamela Jane (Stahl) Sico of Lancaster, Pa.

Pamela Jane (Stahl) Sico passed away at home in Lancaster, Pa. on Monday, March 27, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Wellsville, N.Y., in 1951, she was the daughter of the late Bernard B. and Mary E. (McCabe) Stahl of Oneonta, N.Y.

Pam was the wife of John M. Sico, Jr., of Lancaster, Pa.

Pam was a 1969 graduate of Onteora Central High School, Boiceville, N.Y. and received her Associates degree in Nursing from Allegheny Community College, Pittsburgh, in 1993. Pam worked for Revlon Health Care Group, a pharmaceut­ical subsidiary of Revlon, Tuckahoe, N.Y. from 1973-1986. She began there as a receptioni­st and after promotions over the years, left as administra­tive assistant to Division Director Research & Developmen­t. After graduating from nursing school, Pam took her first job as a nurse at Masonic Homes, Elizabetht­own, Pa.. She went on to specialize in patients with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia where she was active in helping to run a monthly Alzheimer’s support group for the community. The last three years of her employment were as an RN Case Manager with hospice in Lancaster, Pa. Working as a nurse brought great satisfacti­on and fulfillmen­t to Pam’s life. Joy and laughter, despite the situations she faced, were experience­d by both the patient and caregiver on most days. Pam loved fishing and the pleasure of being around the Long Island Sound, Cape Cod, and the Eastern Shore. She enjoyed entertaini­ng friends and family, cooking, music and the Catskill Mountains. She has maintained relationsh­ips with family, many dear friends, some from Onteora and some co-workers over the years.

In addition to her husband, John, Pam is survived by a son, John M. Sico, III, of Portland, Ore. and stepdaught­er, Barbara Ellen Sico, Valhalla, N.Y. Also surviving are a brother, Jack Stahl, husband of Mary Jane, his stepdaught­er, Jessyca Gardner and grandson, Ian, of Old Fort, N.C. Jack’s son, Jerami, husband of Trina, and their children; three sisters: Judith Stahl, The Vly, N.Y.; Maryellen and David Towne and their children Roblee, Carly, Devin, and Jillian, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; Jeannie and Steve Benson, and son, Jesse, of Hurley, N.Y. There are also many cousins and close friends.

Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the Lasher Funeral Home, 100 Tinker St., Woodstock, N.Y. 12498.

The Memorial Service will follow at 11a.m. Interment will take place at Krumville Cemetery, Krumville, N.Y. A luncheon honoring Pam’s life will be held after interment. To leave the family an online condolence, please visit: SnyderFune­ralHome.com
