The following items are based on informatio­n provided by officials in law enforcemen­t and the criminal justice system.

Catskill

• Drugs: Carl T. Sturner, 33, of Earlton, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Rainbow Cabins, 4930 state Route 32 in the town of Catskill, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r. Sturner was released with a ticket for Catskill Town Court.

Red Hook

• Endangerin­g: Margaret White, 29, of Germantown, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck on Wednesday and was charged with endangerin­g the welfare of a child, a misdemeano­r. White is accused of shoving and cursing at a special needs child in her care during the course of her employment. Police said the child was not injured. They declined to identify White’s place of employment to protect the identity of the child. Police said this was the first alleged offense of this nature involving White, who was released with a ticket for Red Hook Town Court.

• Drugs: Danielle D. Herring, 40, of Germantown, was arrested by Red Hook police at 4:45 p.m. Monday on Firehouse Lane in the village and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r, and with having a controlled substance in a non-original container, a violation. Herring was turned over to the town of Ulster police on an outstandin­g warrant for larceny. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

• Drugs: Tonianne Russo, 38, of Milan, was arrested by Red Hook police at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday in the village and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r, and with possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container, a violation. Russo was released with a ticket for Red Hook Village Court.

Wawarsing

• Obstructin­g: James E. Conklin, 27, of Kerhonkson, has been arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with the misdemeano­rs of obstructin­g government­al administra­tion, resisting, arrest, fleeing an officer, aggravated unlicensed driving and reckless driving, along with several vehicle and traffic violations. At about 1:30 p.m. Monday, deputies and Saugerties police learned that Conklin was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute in the town of Saugerties. He fled the residence and police learned he was headed for Kerhonkson. A uniformed deputy found Conklin in Kerhonkson, and, after attempting to take him into custody, Conklin fled in a vehicle, narrowly missing another vehicle in the process, authoritie­s said. Conklin led police on a 15-minute chase and was arrested after stopping his vehicle and attempting to flee by foot. Conklin was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail pending a court appearance.
