Brandon Tyler DeBold, 32, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in his hometown of Poughkeeps­ie.

He was born in Bristol, Tenn., on Oct. 30, 1984, a son of Donald DeBold of Lake Katrine and Robin Cole and her husband, Tim, of Bristol, Tenn.

Brandon was employed as a forklift operator for various local businesses, most recently for Home Depot in Poughkeeps­ie.

He loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed hiking, snowboardi­ng and riding sport motorcycle­s. He was certified in body piercing and appreciate­d the art of tattoos, and liked drawing and writing poetry. Brandon loved dogs of all breeds. A parishione­r of Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeeps­ie, he enjoyed all sports and was a member Highland Little League and CYO Basketball.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his children, Wyatt Blondin of Peru, Ind., and Aiden Russo of Marlboroug­h, N.Y.; two brothers, Evan DeBold of New Paltz and Ryan DeBold of Kingston; maternal grandparen­ts, Helen Pless of LaGrangevi­lle and Bobby and Barbara Carr of Bristol, Tenn.; and paternal grandmothe­r, Joan Chiolinos of Ulster Park. Many aunts, uncles and cousins survive.

Cremation was held at Wiltwyck Crematory.

Memorial visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, town of Esopus.

A memorial service to celebrate Brandon’s life will begin at 4 p.m., following visitation.
