Bernard J. Rzepnicki, age 94, of Kingston N.Y., died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Golden Hill Health Care Center, Kingston, N.Y.

Mr. Rzepnicki was born on Jan. 5, 1923, in South Bend, Ind., the son of Adalbert and Stephania Grochowski Rzepnicki.

He married Lillian Wegner. She died on April 3, 2002. They had one son, Ronald, who predecease­d him on April 12, 2015.

He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945.

Bernard was retired from Wheelabrat­or Technologi­es, South Bend, Ind.

Surviving are a brother, Casimier of South Bend, Ind.; brother and sister-in-law, Norbert and Josephine Rzepnicki of Mishawaka, Ind.; and Stephen of Mishawaka, Ind.; daughterin-law, Wren Rzepnicki, New Paltz, N.Y.; grandchild­ren, Daniel of New Paltz, N.Y., Joshua of Jenkintown, Pa., Matthew and wife Antoinette of Virginia Beach, Va., and Rachel of Simpsonvil­le, S.C.; great-grandchild­ren, Daniela of Milton, N.Y., Chaeli, Caleb and Skylar of Virginia Beach, Va., Benjamin of Pa., Kael and Lillian of Simpsonvil­le, S.C.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predecease­d by his brothers, Edmund and John, and his sister, Adeline.

Cremation has already taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka, Ind. 46545, at a later date. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Mishawaka, Ind. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. He loved to send checks to several charities.
