Undefeated Marlboro turns aside Pine Plains

Hayden Toussaint belted two singles and knocked in two RBI as Marlboro High beat Pine Plains 9-4 in a non-league baseball game Wednesday to improve to 5-0. Brendan Mahusky recorded the win.

Brendan Mahusky recorded the win, throwing 1 2/3 innings of one-hit relief while striking out two.

Starter Joe Canosa struck out one while allowing two hits, two walks and one run in two innings.

Henry Roemer led the Bombers with two singles. Rondout 16, Onteora 1

At Boiceville, Andrew Huffman had three hits, including two doubles, and two RBI, while Collin Beck added three hits, including a double, and two RBI to lead the Ganders.

Kyle Altadonna and Dallas Romaguera had a double, single and three RBI each, while Gavin Costello struck out nine to record the win.

Michale Havens doubles, while Carlos Santiago was tagged with the loss for the (0-4) Eagles. Saugerties 8, Onteora 2

At Saugerties, Rory Cohan struck out eleven and helped himself on offense by homering in a completega­me, three-hitter for the Sawyers.

Evan Normann doubled and singled and had a RBI; Seth Vandermark hit a double and had a RBI; and Nick Dennis tripled to lead (3-2) Saugerties.

Steven Croswell was tagged with the loss, allowing 10 hits, one walk and six earned runs and striking out one in five innings.

At Chester, the Hambletoni­ans erased a 3-1 deficit, scoring a run in the fifth and four in the sixth to upend the Huskies.

Johnny Hipsman, who homered earlier, hit an RBI single to tie it in the sixth. Colin Marco doubled to put Chester ahead. Sean Murphy followed with a sacrifice fly and TJ Gregory a run-scoring double, all with one out.

Gregory recorded the win for Chester, a complete-game, four-hitter with six strikeouts.

Frank Alfonso put Highland ahead with an RBI single in the first inning. Dario DiValentin­o singled in a run in the second and Isiah Daubon homered in the third to open the 3-1 margin.

Daubon, Max Vidal and Anthony Silverio all had two hits for Highland.
