Susan M. Coons, 44, of Elizaville

Susan M. Coons, 44, of Elizaville, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Born on July 6, 1972, in Danbury, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Milton and Carolyn B. (Murtha) Feller.

Susan married Harry “Huffy” Coons in Red Hook over 15 years ago, and Huffy survives at home in Elizaville.

Sue was a great person — hardworking and always had a smile. She worked as an equipment operator and laborer for Jeff Decker And Son Inc., based in Rhinebeck, N.Y.

In addition to her loving husband Huffy, she is survived by a brother, John Feller of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; her sister, Cindy Feller of Connecticut; her in-laws, Donald and Debra Coons of Taconic, N.Y., Donna Van Leuven of Salt Point, N.Y., Mary and Dennis Cohen of Red Hook, N.Y., Teresa Coons of Hudson, N.Y., Gary Coons of Red Hook, N.Y., Susan Grimes of Chatham, N.Y., and Matt and Jenine Coons of Red Hook, N.Y.; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends may call at Burnett & White Funeral Homes in Red Hook on Monday, April 17, 2017, from2to4and7to9 p.m.

Interment will be private in Elizaville Methodist Cemetery, Elizaville, N.Y.
