City of Kingston

• DWI: Octavio Quihua, 32, of Germantown, was arrested by state police on Clinton Avenue at 3:55 a.m. Sunday on misdemeano­r charges of drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving. Quihua was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.

Catskill

• DWI: Richard M. Caramanica, 21, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 12:52 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 9W on misdemeano­r charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. Caramanica was released with tickets for Catskill Town Court.

• Contempt: Bryan J. Jeane, 23, of Leeds, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:05 p.m. Saturday on felony charges of criminal contempt (violating an order of protection), aggravated family offense and criminal mischief to property valued at more than $250. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Cornwall

• Drugs/DWI: Cecilia E. Lagodka, 27, of New Paltz, and Jeremiah Lorenzo, 36, of Ridgewood, face numerous drug charges after Thruway state police pulled Lorenzo over for speeding on the New York state Thruway at 7:43 p.m. Thursday. Police charged Lorenzo with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, after they found him with 0.18 grams of MDA and 2.3 grams of MDMA. Authoritie­s found Lorenzo to be intoxicate­d with a 0.12 blood alcohol content, charged him with misdemeano­r drunken driving, and issued him several traffic tickets. Authoritie­s said Lagodka was found with 1.8 grams of heroin and 7.9 grams of marijuana along with three hypodermic needles; she was charged with three misdemeano­r counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and the violation of unlawful marijuana possession. Both were arraigned in Cornwall Town Court. Lorenzo was sent to Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail and Lagodka was released with an appearance ticket for Cornwall Town Court.

New Paltz

• DWI: Brian J. McCarthy, 56, of New York City, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 1:14 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 299 on misdemeano­r charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. McCarthy was released with tickets for New Paltz Town Court.

Saugerties

• DWI: Leo Nowik, 20, of 5 Brinnier Court, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties Police Saturday on a misdemeano­r charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Nowik was released with a ticket for Saugerties Town Court.

Town of Ulster

• Shoplifiti­ng: Gary L. Hoffman, 26, of High Falls, was arrested by Ulster Town Police at the Walmart Supercente­r at 601 Frank E. Sottile Blvd. at 10:14 p.m. Thursday on a misdemeano­r charge of petit larceny. Police said Walmart Asset Protection reported that Hoffman left the store without paying for $90.19 worth of merchandis­e. Hoffman was released with an appearance ticket for Ulster Town Court.

• DWI: Erin L. Cmuchowski, 23, of Chatham, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 12:50 a.m. Sunday on Washington Avenue on misdemeano­r charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. Cmuchowski was released with an appearance ticket for Ulster Town Court.
