Arlington pulls away for victory over Kingston

Arlington High broke open a tight game after halftime, outscoring Kingston 11-5 en route to an 18-10 non-league girls lacrosse victory on Monday. Abby Carlin scored seven goals for the (8-3) Admirals.

Abby Carlin scored seven goals, while Danielle DiLorenzo and Jordan Smith added three each for the (8-3) Admirals, who led 7-5 at halftime. Rebecca Campos had two goals and an assist, while Emily Mahon (assist), Taylor Fisher (assist) and Kelly Coster had a goal each to round the scoring.

Sam Simonetti, meanwhile, made four saves in the victory.

Cameron Letus scored three goals, while Grace Gavis (two assists) and Analiese Amato (assist) added two goals for the (7-3) Tigers, who were outshot 25-20. Kendal Parker, Meghan Gavis and Juliona Montalto scored a goal each in the loss.

Grace Perry stopped six shots for Kingston, which hosts Newburgh Free Academy at Dietz Stadium on Tuesday. Goshen 15, Saugerties 8

At Saugerties, Kelly Fellenzer had five goals and two assists, while Mackenzie Kurek added four goals and one assist, to lead the Gladiators to the victory.

Keilly Wickham had four goals and an assist, while Deeva Kuriplach added two goals for the Sawyers. Eva Vazquez and Abby MacIssac each scored a goal, while Samantha Schatzel made nine saves in the loss.
