Allen J. “Skip” Stauble Jr., 80, of Sawkill-Ruby Road and Jupiter, Fla., died Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born in Kingston, N.Y., May 6, 1937, he was a son of the late Allen J. Stauble Sr. and Rometta (Emmick) Stauble.

Mr. Stauble was employed by Pine Hill Trailways as a bus driver for 19 years until his retirement. He was previously employed as the manager of Bryants Garage and was a self-employed tractor-trailer driver. Skip was a beloved husband, devoted father, uncle, grandfathe­r and greatgrand­father. He enjoyed life, loved to take cruises, and was an avid Nascar fan.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Shelley Gail (Nagler) Stauble; his children, Veronica Stauble, Kim Ann Stauble-Bahl (Ted Schatzel), Gertrude “Gig” Stauble, Karen Iapoce (Joseph), and Mark Stauble (Diane); a sister, Rometta “Romey” Kelley; step-sister, Mary Massa; grandchild­ren, Kevin Allen, Kiley, and Matthew Hotaling, Jennifer Schatzel (Christian Artist), Adam and Joshua Bahl, Robert and Jara Sauers, Kaytlin and Shelby Iapoce, Mackenzie Stauble; great-grandchild­ren, Ariana and Joseph Schatzel and Robert J. Sauers IV. Nieces and nephews also survive.

A son, Allen J. Stauble III, predecease­d him, as well as his step-sisters, Barbara and Lois. He will now join his beloved canine companion, Nikki.

Funeral and cremation arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc. 27 Smith Ave., Kingston, N.Y. (www. jvleahyfh.com) Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
