Marsha B. Curtis, 68, of Franklin Street, Kingston, died Friday, May 26, 2017, at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, in Kingston.
Born June 17, 1948, in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Charles Bassett Sr. and Beatrice (Enty) Bassett.
Marsha worked as a computer programmer for IBM in Kingston until her retirement. A member of the AME Zion Church on Franklin Street, Mrs. Curtis was a past treasurer, deaconess, and choir director. Marsha volunteered at the Hodge Center, the Kingston Library and the Chambers School PTA, and she enjoyed crocheting.
Surviving are her children, Kimberli Curry and her husband Frederick, Dyena Curtis-Nieves

and her husband Christopher, Ronald Curtis II; 10 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and siblings, Elmira “Betty” Kithcart, Charles “Butch” Bassett Jr., Reneé Mohammad and Raymond Evans. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Siblings George “Chucky”, Gail, Linda, Toni, Michael Bassett, Bruce Evans, and Wilfred “Billy” Bassett died previously.
Funeral and cremation arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jvleahyfh.com). Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, June 2, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Home Going Celebration will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
