Francis ‘Frank’ J. Donnelly, Sr., 83, of Kingston
Francis “Frank” J. Donnelly, Sr., formerly of Wilbur Ave., died Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. He was 83. He was born in Kingston; a son of the late Aloysius and Maude Long Donnelly. Frank served in the Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Murray. A Production Control Analyst, he was retired from IBM. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club, Joyce-Schirick VFW Post 1386 and the Tin Can Sailors. He enjoyed traveling, family genealogy and Irish music.
Surviving are three sons, Michael Donnelly of Albany, Robert (Deb) Donnelly of Ohio, Fran and companion Deb of Kingston; one daughter, Joyce A. Donnelly of Saugerties; a brother, Al Donnelly of Kingston; two sisters, Mildred Abdallah of Kingston and Mary Lou Kellerman of Texas. A dear friend, Maureen Houghtaling, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Two sisters, Geraldine Tomasewski and Lorraine Kellerman; and four brothers, Kenneth, Bernard, Ralph and Jack Donnelly, died previously.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends will be received on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
A committal service with military honors will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
