BASEBALL Camps Senators Baseball Camp: For ages 7-12 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 24-28 at SUNY Ulster. Led by Ulster head coach Steven Morse. Camp focuses on basic fundamentals in addition to intense work on learning and improving skills, effective drills and developing proper work habits. Athletes place into groups based on age and ability. Players also have the opportunity to learn about other positions during specialty groups. Coach-to-athlete ration is 1:12. Bring a glove, bat, baseball hat, long athletic pants and footwear (rubber spikes/sneakers). Catchers should bring chest protector, helmet, shin guards and facemask if they have them. Don’t forget topical insect repellent and sun block (not spray form). Class Number CFK 1457-25. Cost: $210. Signups may be done during business hours at the Andy Murphy (Midtown) Neighborhood Center, 467 Broadway, in Kingston or online at www.kingstonparksandrec.org Ages 7-10meet from 9 a.m.-noon and 11-14 from 1-4 p.m. Feeis $65 for City of Kingston residents and $80 for non-city residents. Typical day will include station work, games, competitions, lunch and a basketball documentary. Athletes will play for daily prizes. Awards are handed out for each age group at the end of the week. Please send a team representative. 4-person teams can be comprised of any combination of men or women. Handicap will be 90 percent of the difference between a team’s average and 900.
