Alma Haddeland (nee Netlandsnes), 100, of West Milford, N.J.

Alma Haddeland (nee Netlandsnes), 100 years old, died peacefully at Milford Manor, West Milford, N.J., on Friday, June 16, 2017.

Born to Ivar and Anna Netlandsnes in Norway, she came to the United States in 1950 and settled in Bergenfield, N.J. She then lived in Accord, N.Y., for 21 years before moving to Vernon Twp., N.J., 20 years ago.

Alma was an active member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Bergenfield and the Rochester Reformed Church in Accord, N.Y., and was a dedicated homemaker to her family.

Alma was predeceased by her husband, Albert Haddeland (1972) and was the devoted mother of Norman Haddeland and his wife, Lea of Vernon Twp., N.J. Loving grandmother of Tania Hilliard and her husband Richard of Manalapan, N.J., and Kristi Haddeland of San Antonio, Texas. Cherished by great-grandchildren Madison and Richard Joseph Hilliard.

The family will receive their friends at FergusonVernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, N.J., on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 10 a.m. to noon. The funeral service will be Wednesday at noon at the funeral home.
