Eight area residents — Henry Wallace and Aishwarya Patel, both of Kingston, Hannah Bagshaw of Saugerties, Nicholas Zapotoski of New Paltz, Jacob Berryann of Kerhonkson, Devin Palen of Wallkill, Caitlin Swanson of Red Hook and Samantha Cash of Catskill — graduated May 13 from Clarkson University in Potsdam, with bachelor of science degrees.

Wallace received a degree in electrical engineering, with a minor in mathematics. Patel received a degree, with great distinction, in aeronautical engineering and mechanical engineering. Bagshaw received a degree, with distinction, in civil engineering, with a minor in business. Zapotoski received a degree in engineering and management.

Berryann received a degree in chemical engineering. Palen received a degree, with distinction, in electrical engineering. Swenson received a degree in chemical engineering, with a biomedical engineering minor. Cash received a degree in environmental engineering. ••• Spencer T. Ciaccio of West Hurley graduated, with honors, from the State University of New York at Oneonta, with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology.

••• Emily Catherine Pruden of Palenville, a student at Nazareth College in Rochester, was inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, the international honor society for business, management and administration, on April 9.

She was also inducted into the Alpha Alpha Nu, the college’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association Honor Society, on April 11. In addition, she was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester.

A senior in the fall, she is majoring in business and communications.

She is the daughter of Lori and Gary Pruden of Palenville.

LaBarbera is majoring in psychology.

Armbrust is majoring in criminal justice.

••• Two area residents — Taylor Creagh of Pine Bush and Elizabeth Neese of Red Hook — were named to the dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C., for the spring semester.

Students earn dean’s list status if they achieve a grade point average of 3.25 or higher if they are freshmen and 3.5 or higher if they are upperclassmen.

Creagh is majoring in exercise and sport science. Neese is majoring in elementary education.

••• Alexandra E. Gay, the daughter of a Rhinebeck resident, was named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College in the Oneida County village of Clinton for the spring semester.

Gay graduated with a degree in creative writing. She is the daughter of Todd Gay of Rhinebeck and Katrina Gay of Schenectady.
