Lyme disease forum at FDR site June 28
HYDE PARK, N.Y. » With an unprecedented amount of misinformation being circulated concerning ticks, the diseases they may carry, and ways to remove them from yourself, your family members and your pets, ensuring accurate information is critical.
To that end, state Sen. Sue Serino, R-Hyde Park, will host a public forum with experts who will debunk myths and ensure that attendees have the most accurate information available to help them stay tick-free throughout the upcoming months.
This free event will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, in the multipurpose room of the Henry A. Wallace Center at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Home, 4079 U.S. Route 9.
Hudson Valley communities are considered the epicenter of the Lyme and tick-borne disease epidemic, and experts say this year could see a dramatic spike in the number of Lyme-carrying ticks.
