ULSTER PARK » Walter E. Hamilton, Sr., of Clay Rd., died Friday, June 16, 2017, at Health Alliance Hospital. He was 87.

He was born in Kingston, a son of the late Bernard and Orpha Every Hamilton. For over 30 years, he served as a custodian in the Kingston Consolidat­ed Schools. He was a bowler in earlier years and enjoyed wood carving but his greatest hobby was his family.

Surviving is his wife, Agnes Bridge Hamilton; a son, Walter (Diane) Hamilton, Jr., of Kingston; three daughters, Darlene (William) Loeffler of Kingston, Kristine Montana of Watervliet and Thelma Bagley of Kerhonkson. 11 grandchild­ren, 18 great-grandchild­ren, and an expected great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews also survive.

A daughter, Denise Bockelmann; five sisters, Lorraine Bridge, Marlene Sandy, Evelyn Vedder, Olive Bogart and Thelma Amorosi; and five brothers, Bernard, Claude, Reginald, Robert and Ronald Hamilton, died previously.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. A graveside service will be conducted by Rev.
