The following items are based on informatio­n provided by officials in law enforcemen­t and the criminal justice system.

Ulster County Court

• Drugs: James Reilly, 39, of Ellenville, was sentenced on March 6 by Ulster County Judge Donald A. Williams to six years in state prison and three years of post-release supervisio­n and was ordered to pay restitutio­n after being convicted of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Reilly was arrested in Ellenville on July 19, 2016, by members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcemen­t Narcotics Team and Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies, and was initially charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies. Authoritie­s said Reilly purchased cocaine in Ellenville. His arrest followed an indictment by an Ulster County grand jury following an investigat­ion into narcotics sales in Ellenville. • Drugs: Marcus Lovett, 32, of Highland, was sentenced by Williams on March 24 to two concurrent sentences of eight years in state prison followed by three years of post-release supervisio­n after being convicted of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance, both felonies. Lovett was arrested on Feb. 13, 2016, by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies and state parole officers and was charged with four felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. At the time, authoritie­s said he was found with “a significan­t amount” of heroin and crack cocaine. • DWI: Tracey Carey, 51, of Ulster Park, was sentenced by Williams on March 9 to six days in the Ulster County Jail and was ordered to pay fines and fees for drunken driving. Carey was arrested on March 13, 2016, and was charged with two counts of drunken driving. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e. • DWI: James Fraser, 29, of Woodstock, was sentenced by Williams on March 31 to three years of probation and was ordered to pay fines and fees after being convicted of misdemeano­r drunken driving. Fraser was arrested on Oct. 23, 2015 in Woodstock, initially charged with felony drunken driving. On Jan. 27, he pleaded guilty to misdemeano­r drunken driving. • DWI: Denise Bottiglier, 41, address unavailabl­e, was sentenced by Williams on March 24 to concurrent sentences of five years probation and three years probation for the misdemeano­rs of drunken driving and aggravated unlicensed driving, respective­ly. Bottiglier was arrested on April 28,

2016 and was charged with two counts of drunken driving and with aggravated unlicensed driving. She pleaded guilty on Dec. 12. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

• DWI: Byron Terpening, 32, of Kingston, was sentenced by Williams on March 3 to 180 days in the Ulster County Jail and was ordered to pay fees and fines for felony drunken driving. Terpening was arrested by Kingston police on Aug. 28, 2016, and was initially charged with felony drunken driving, possession of a forged instrument and aggravated unlicensed driving, both misdemeano­rs, and with several violations, including unlicensed driving, failure to keep right, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

• Aggravated family offense: Dennis Dent, 23, address unavailabl­e, was sentenced by Williams March 6 to two concurrent sentences of one and one-third to four years in prison on two felony counts of aggravated family offense. Dent had pleaded guilty to the charges. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

• Drugs: Adrian Dabney, 40, of Saugerties, was sentenced by Williams on March 3 to six years in state prison and five years of post-release supervisio­n and was ordered to pay fines and fees for felony possession of a controlled substance. Dabney was arrested by Kingston and Saugerties police on Oct. 13, 2016, and was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one misdemeano­r count of criminal use of drug parapherna­lia, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. At the time, police said a search of Dabney’s home turned up more than eight ounces of cocaine and crack cocaine

with a street value exceeding $20,000, along with marijuana and drug parapherna­lia.

• Attempted sexual abuse:

Edward McFarland, 32, of Ellenville, was sentenced by Williams on March 6 to four years in prison and 15 years of post-release supervisio­n and was ordered to pay fees and fines for attempted sexual abuse, a felony. Additional­ly, Williams issued an order of protection on behalf of McFarland’s victim. McFarland, who was arrested on June 23, 2016, pleaded guilty on Dec. 8. When he was arrested, McFarland was charged with two felony counts of sexual abuse after a female awoke in bed as he allegedly pulled her shorts off. Police said the victim was sleeping when she felt someone holding her arm down from behind and pulling her shorts off while attempting to engage in a sex act with her. She resisted, screamed, broke free and later identified her attacker.

• DWI: Denise Engelhardt, 47, of Port Ewen, was sentenced by Williams March 9 to one year in the Ulster County Jail and three years of probation, and was ordered to pay fines and fees for drunken driving. Engelhardt was arrested by state police at Ulster on July 2, 2016 in Kingston, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both felonies.

• Forged instrument: Dennis VanFonda, 34, of Troy, was sentenced by Williams March 28 to two to four years in state prison and was ordered to pay restitutio­n, fines and fees for attempted possession of a forged instrument, a felony. VanFonda was arrested by state police at Catskill on Feb. 24, 2015, and was charged with possession of a forged instrument, a felony. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.
