City of Kingston
· Criminal impersonation: Michael J. Nightingale, 24, of Binghamton, was arrested by Kingston police on Thursday and charged with the misdemeanor of criminal impersonation. Nightingale was arrested after police were notified by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office that he might be in the Kingston area and was wanted for the felonies of burglary and assault (two counts), two misdemeanor counts of assault and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and single misdemeanor counts of as obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and menacing. Officers located Nightingale during a routine patrol and he provided them with a false name, according to a press release. Nightingale was processed in Kingston City Court and held for arraignment.
Coxsackie
· DWI: Michael Sokolski, 33, of Linden, N.J., was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 4:35 a.m. Friday on U.S. Route 9W and charged with the misdemeanors of drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving. Sokoloski was released from the Greene County Jail after posting bail. Additional information was unavailable.
Hudson
· Drugs: Samuel A. McGriff, 34, of Schoharie Turnpike, Catskill, was arrested by Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday during a multi-agency drug trafficking operation targeting mid-level drug dealers. He was charged with three felony counts of sale of a controlled substance. McGriff was sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
Lloyd
· Marijuana: Tyrone A. Cheatham, 36, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Highland at 1:13 a.m. Friday on U.S. Route 44/state Route 55 and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Cheatham was released with a ticket for Lloyd Town Court.
Shandaken
· DWI: Keith A. Gronshell, 58, of Oceanside, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 12:01 a.m. Friday on state Route 28 and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving. Gronshell was released with a ticket for Shandaken Town Court.
