Mary L. DeCicco, 66, of Venice, Fla.

Mary L. DeCicco died on Friday, July 7, 2017, in Venice, Fla., after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Born March 17, 1951, she was the daughter of Joseph H. Prosser and Mary Malia Prosser.

A graduate of Kingston High School, she was a longtime resident of Kingston and Saugerties until relocating to Florida in 2014 after retiring from the City of Kingston Housing Authority. While in New York, she volunteere­d for six years with the Ulster County Crime Victims Assistance Program. Upon moving to Venice, she was a member of the non-academic Beta Psi Sisterhood in her community of Venice Isle.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Thomas F. DeCicco; son, Thomas J. (Dawn) DeCicco; daughter, Janelle DeCiccoBas­s; grandsons, Spencer Sutton Jr. and Griffin DeCicco; granddaugh­ters, Jordan, Genevieve, and Jayden Bass, and Ava Marie DeCicco; sisters, Elizabeth Prosser of N.Y., Patricia Prosser Neely of N.C., and Sharon Kaskie of Fla.; brothers-in-law and sistersin-law, Vince (Brenda) DeCicco, Larry (Gail) DeCicco, Kathy DeCicco, Sharon Humphrey, Lynda (David) Kahrs and Diane (Dominick) Catone; and several nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by a brother, Ronald Prosser, and brother-in-law, Michael DeCicco.

Local funeral arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston, N.Y.

Her funeral will be held privately at Sarasota National Cemetery. Celebratio­n of life services will be held in Venice, Fla., and Kingston, N.Y., at a later date.
