Napanoch
• Contraband: Kareem Edwards, 33, was charged Tuesday with promoting prison contraband, a felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, according to state police at Wawarsing. Edwards was arrested at the Ulster Correctional Facility, 750 Berme Road, in Napanoch, and was held pending arraignment. Further information was unavailable.
New Paltz
• Drugs: Camille Macris, 20, of New York City, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3 a.m. Wednesday on Main Street and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Macris was issued a court appearance ticket.
Town of Rochester
• Weapon: Belinda J. Tyler, 45, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday at 3 Vantine Road and was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and menacing, a misdemeanor. She was released pending a court appearance. Further information was unavailable.
Wawarsing
• Falsifying records: Jacqueline N. Giampietro, 33, of Eldred, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at the state police barracks in Wawarsing and was charged with falsifying business records, a felony, and petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors. Giampietro was held pending arraignment, police said.
