Janice Ellsworth. 50 of the town of Ulster

TOWN OF ULSTER » Janice Ellsworth, 50, of Morton Boulevard, died at her home after a lengthy illness on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Born July 19, 1966, in Kingston, she was the daughter of Virginia “Dolly” (Lewis) Ellsworth and the late Frank Ellsworth.

Janice was employed as a home health aide for United Health Care, was a former CNA at Ten Broeck Commons and was previously employed by National Micronetics.

She is survived by her life companion of 32 years, Robert D. Mergandahl Sr.; her children, Rachael Goodfellow and her husband Paul, Robert D. Mergandahl Jr. and his wife Lynn, Jamie Mergandahl (Julie Whitaker), David Mergandahl and his wife Christina and Candy Mergandahl; siblings, Fran Ellsworth, Dorrie Lewis, Frank Ellsworth Jr., and Robin Starr; and her grandchildren, Dwayne Mergandahl, Brandon Mergandahl, Jayme Lynn Mergandahl, Isaiah Soto-Rodriquez, Dylan Mergandahl, Emily Mergandahl, Jeremiah Mergandahl, Robert J. Mergandahl, Elijah SotoRodriquez, Evan Mergandahl, Jaylee Mergandahl and Ravyn Mergandahl. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Her sisters, Debra Bell, Virginia Dermody, and a granddaughter, Faith Mergandahl, predeceased her.

Funeral and cremation arrangements are by Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc. 27 Smith Ave., Kingston. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. A family remembrance will end the afternoon.
