BASEBALL Bus Trips Miami Marlins at New York Mets: City of Kingston Parks and Recreation Department-sponsored trip to an Aug. 18 night game (7:10 p.m.) at Citi Field. It is a “Free Shirt Friday.” Bus leaves Cornell Street parking lot at 3 p.m. Charge, which includes Trailways bus transportation and a seat in Field Reserved Section 138 (in left center field) is $90 for City of Kingston residents and $95 for nonresidents. Camps Senators Baseball Camp: For ages 7-12 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 24-28 at SUNY Ulster. Led by Ulster head coach Steven Morse. Camp focuses on basic fundamentals in addition to intense work on learning and improving skills, effective drills and developing proper work habits. Athletes place into groups based on age and ability. Players also have the opportunity to learn about other positions during specialty groups. Coach-to-athlete ration is 1:12. Bring a glove, bat, baseball hat, long athletic pants and footwear (rubber spikes/sneakers). Catchers should bring chest protector, helmet, shin guards and facemask if they have them.
