Shawn M. Saguid, 30, of Saugerties

SAUGERTIES » Shawn M. Saguid, 30, of Maryann Ave., died Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Vassar Brothers Hospital. Born Oct. 3, 1986 in Kingston he is the son of Stephen and Lisa Saguid. A Graduate of Saugerties High School Class of 2005 he earned his Bacherlor’s of Business at Iona College in New Rochelle where he was the President of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He served on several ministries at Iona including traveling to New Orleans with Habitat for Humanity. A parishioner of St. Mary of the Snow, in his youth he was active in CYO where he served on the County Level as Ulster County Treasurer.

Besides his parents, survivors include his Maternal grandparents, Dorothy and William Marchetti, Sr.; one brother, Ryan (Kim) Saguid of Afghanistan; and one sister, Rachel Saguid of Myrtle Beach. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

He was predeceased by his Sister, Renee Lynn Saguid, in 1990.

His Funeral Procession will form 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Corner of John and Lafayette Sts. Thence to St. Mary of the Snow where at 11 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Friends will be received Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Family suggests donations in his memory be made to www.gofundme.com/shawnsaguid where all the proceeds will be given to the Sarcoma Foundation in hopes that a cure will be found.
