Ulster Financial earns comeback men's victory
Ulster Financial's 15-14 9-inning win over White Eagle led a series of recent comeback wins in Kingston Recreation Men's A and B Division softball. White Eagle scored three in the sixth to tie the game 11-11.
Ulster Financial’s 15-14 nine-inning victory over White Eagle topped a series of recent comeback wins in Kingston Recreation Men’s softball A and B Division contests.
White Eagle scored three in the sixth to tie the B Divison game at 11-11. After both teams scored twice in the eighth, White Eagle went ahead with a run in the top of the ninth, but Ulster pulled it out with two runs in its last at-bat.
Mike Hunter’s four RBI paced Ulster Financial.
White Eagle faced the same fate the week before as it rallied to tie with two runs in the bottom of the seventh only to lose 13-11 to Scanlon’s Cleaners in eight innings.
In other B contests, the Paramount Pirates used a 3-run seventh to top Basch & Keegan 14-13 and Al’s Smokin BBQ rallied for three runs in the last two innings to top the Pirates 10-9.
In A Division games, Five Star Awards, Sings & Tees beat Corner Bar & Grill 21-19 in eight innings and Hometown Discount Beverage scored nine runs in the last two frames to top the Bar & Grill 13-9.
