» James Thomas Lynch, age 89, passed away July 26, 2017 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
He is the son of the late Leo T. and Nellie McNulty Lynch of Kingston, N.Y.
Mr. Lynch grew up in Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School.
The funeral Mass was celebrated on July 29 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Murfreesboro, Tenn. There will be a graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery at 11 a.m. in Kingston N.Y. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017.
Mr. Lynch served in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Air Force at the end of World War II. He retired in 1988 from General Electric after 40 years of service in Schenectady, N.Y.; Philadelphia, Pa; and Murfreesboro, Tenn. as facilities manager. Mr. Lynch was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus and a 4th degree Knight.
Mr. Lynch is survived by several dear friends in the Murfreesboro area. Several cousins also survive: Helen Krengloskie Whalen of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Agnes McNulty Glass of Silver Springs, Md., Patricia Whalen Smith (his goddaughter) of Williamsville, N.Y. and Sr. Kathleen Donnelly, SU of Rhinebeck, N.Y.
