William J. Miller, 77, of Kingston
William J. Miller, 77, of Wrentham Street died at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway campus on Saturday, July 29, 2017.
Born in Saint Remy, N.Y., Sept. 13, 1939; he is a son of the late Frank and Florence (Wedge) Miller.
Mr. Miller graduated from Kingston High School class of 1957 and served his country in The U.S. Coast Guard. He was a master Carpenter and cabinet maker and self-employed contractor. He was previously employed by F. L. Russell Co., Ferroxcube, and Benedictine Hospital Maintenance division. A past long time member of The Rifton Fire Department, known to family and close friends as “a master of matchitecture,” he also enjoyed woodcraft constructing bird houses and whirlygigs. A fan of the New York Giants and Nascar.
Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline A. (Rutledge) Miller; one son, Steven W. Miller and his fiancee Debra Burr; grandchildren, Steven M. Miller, Justin R. Miller, Carly Barbanti; greatgrandson, Kayden M. Miller; stepchildren, Robert Vertetis and his wife Bernice, Judith Vertetis, Cynthia Barbanti and her husband Robert; and brother, Franklin Miller and his wife Betty. Many nieces and nephews also survive. His wife, Vera E. (Rimmi) Miller, and a brother, Robert Miller, predeceased him.

A service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Rosendale Plains cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of a contribution to a charity of your choice.
