Law and disorder

The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.

City of Kingston

· DWI: Santiago Mendiola Cruz, 50, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 9:35 p.m. Thursday on Sterling Street and charged with the felony of aggravated unlicensed driving and with misdemeanor drunken driving. Cruz was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

· Grand larceny: Markus M. Wilson, 24, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Highland at 6:19 p.m. Thursday at 69 Golden Hill Road and charged with the felony of grand larceny of property valued at more than $1,000. Wilson was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court.

Cairo

· Drugs: Michelle L. Stiles, 25, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Cairo at 8:46 p.m. Thursday on state Route 23 and charged with the misdemeanors of possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed driving and with the violation of possession of marijuana. Stiles was released after posting $1,000 bond.

Lloyd

· Aggravated DWI/weap

on: Amy L. Smith, 38, of Hyde Park, was arrested by state police at Highland at 1:26 a.m. Friday on U.S. Route 44/state Route 55 in Lloyd and charged with the felony of aggravated drunken driving with a child and the misdemeanors of drunken driving and criminal possession of a weapon (a firearm). Smith was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail.

Plattekill

· DWI: Johny Vela, 38, of Plattekill, was arrested by state police at Highland at 2 a.m. Friday on state Route 32 and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a bloodalcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving. Vela was released with a ticket for Plattekill Town Court.
