Athens

• Weapon/DWI: Joshua M. Bavosa, 26, of Coxsackie, and Tyler J. Weaver, 20, of Tivoli, were arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 10:24 p.m. Sunday on North Vernon Street. Bavosa was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and aggravated unlicensed driving with alcohol, both felonies, and with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Weaver was charged with possession of a weapon, a misdemeano­r, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. Weaver was released with a ticket for Athens Town Court. Bavosa was sent to the Greene County Jail pending a court appearance. Additional informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Cairo

•DWI: Ryan A. Sanchez, 20, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 4:05 a.m. Monday on state Route 32 and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs, and with aggravated unlicensed driving with alcohol, a felony. Sanchez was released with a ticket for Cairo Town Court.

Hurley

• Weapon: A 16-year-old Hurley boy was arrested by state police at Ulster at midnight Monday on Ulster Avenue and was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeano­r. The teen was released with a court appearance ticket. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

New Paltz

• Drugs: Damon J. Jackson, 21, of Highland, was arrested by New Paltz police at 8:58 p.m. Friday and was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a felony. Jackson was arrested after an officer on foot patrol saw two subjects sitting in a vehicle and, when the officer approached the driver’s side door, he noticed Jackson using a key to snort a white powder up his nose. The officer said Jackson placed the key and cocaine in his pocket to hide them from the officer. A search turned up 3.2 grams of powdered cocaine. Jackson was released with a ticket for New Paltz Town Court.

Plattekill

• Forged instrument: Natalie Skipp, 35, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 2:55 p.m. Sunday at 1085 Milton Turnpike and was charged with possession of a forged instrument, a felony, and with petit larceny, a misdemeano­r. Skipp was released with a ticket for Plattekill Town Court.

Rosendale

•DWI: Shannon J. Bond, 43, of Westkill, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8 p.m. Sunday on Main Street and was charged with aggravated unlicensed driving-alcohol, a felony; drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs; and the infraction­s of driving without a license and illegal signal. Bond was released with a ticket for Rosendale Town Court.

Town of Ulster

• Drugs: Ian WoernerBlu­mer, 24, of Poughkeeps­ie, was arrested by town of Ulster police at 10:40 a.m. Saturday and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (methamphet­amine), a misdemeano­r, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. At 10:07 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on property off U.S. Route 9W in the town. On arrival, officers found the vehicle in question had left the area, but located Woerner-Blumer and his vehicle on U.S. Route 9W at the Saugerties town line. He was found with a pipe containing methamphet­amine and a small amount of marijuana. WoernerBlu­mer was released with a ticket for Ulster Town Court.

• Drugs: John D. Covello, 49, of Lake Katrine, was arrested by town of Ulster police at 4 p.m. Saturday and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (two counts), felonies; aggravated unlicensed driving, a misdemeano­r; and traffic infraction­s. Covello’s arrest followed a traffic stop on Ulster Avenue for a violation during which he was found in possession of heroin, which he attempted to dispose of prior to being stopped, police said. Covello was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, pending a court appearance.

• Petit larceny: Danielle R. Salisbury, 37, of Port Ewen, was arrested by town of Ulster police at 9:45 p.m. Saturday and was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeano­r. Salisbury is accused of shopliftin­g $54 worth of merchandis­e from the Kohl’s store at 800 Miron Lane. She was released with a ticket for Ulster Town Court.

Wawarsing

• Fugitive: Kevin H. Burris, 21, of Napanoch, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at 1826 Ulster Heights Road and was charged with being a fugitive from justice. Burris was sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending a court appearance. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.
