Kathleen J. Franz, 59, of Stone Ridge

Kathleen J. Franz, 59, of Stone Ridge, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, Kingston.

She was the daughter of Eudora (Sweigart) MacEachern and the late Charles MacEachern.

Born in New Jersey, Kathleen spent her early years in Morris Plains. After graduation, she worked at Beneficial in Morristown. Later she married Tracy and moved to Chatham. Soon Amanda was born and Kathy migrated to working in the school system until 2008.

She brought so much joy and love to everyone around her.

Surviving are her husband, Tracy Franz; her daughter, Amanda Tracey VanEtten; her brothers and sisters, Charlie MacEachern, Mary MacEachern, Ruth Halakowski, Dorothy Walhead, Patricia Miguelez and Thomas Cryan; and her grandchildren, Harley, Ava, Jackson, and Mason VanEtten. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Cremation arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jvleahyfh.com). Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Inurnment will take place Thursday at Fairview Cemetery in Stone Ridge.
