Campers develop mountain bike skills through trail rides and games and spend four days offsite at trail locations (which may include Lippman Park, Ferncliff Forest, Elm Ridge, Lake Minnewaska State Park and others). Basic safety and maintenanc­e as well as environmen­tal responsibi­lities that come with outdoor recreation are covered. A geared bike in good working order with off-road tires measuring at least 2 inches in width, plus helmet are required. This is an intermedia­te level program and not intended for beginners.
