Catskill
• DWI: Michael P. Gunn, 27, of Palenville, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 218 Malden Avenue at 3:52 a.m. Sunday and was charged with two misdemeanor counts of drunken driving. Gunn was released with a ticket for Catskill Town Court.
Denning
• Drugs: Sean T. Irizarry, 28, of East Patchogue, was arrested by state police at Shokan at 1:48 p.m. Saturday on Peekamoose Road and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Irizarry was released with a ticket for Denning Town Court.
Ellenville
• Drugs: Nina E. Walter, 20, of Middletown, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing on U.S. Route 209 at 4 a.m. Sunday and was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and with unlawful alcohol possession by a person under 21, a violation. Walter was released with a ticket for Ellenville Village Court.
Hyde Park
• DWI: Eric W. Skovan, 51, of Clinton Corners, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 1:22 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 9 and was charged with drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Skovan was released with a ticket for Hyde Park Town Court.
Shawangunk
• Assault: Gerald Gibson, 27, of Wallkill, was arrested by state police at Highland at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at the Shawangunk Correctional Facility, 200 Quick Road, on felony charges of assault with intent to cause serious injury, possession of dangerous contraband in prison and criminal possession of a weapon previous conviction. Gibson was held pending arraignment. Further information was unavailable.
Wawarsing
• Shoplifting: Marcia A. Williams, 30, of Ellenville, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 7500 U.S. Route 209 on a misdemeanor petit larceny charge. Williams was being held in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $100 bail.
