Town of Ulster

• Drugs: James D. Kelly, 43, of Trumbull, Conn., was arrested by state police at Ulster at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday on state Route 28 on misdemeano­r charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed driving. He was also charged with having a controlled substance in a non-original container and possession of marijuana, both violations. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Athens

• Contempt: Kenneth J. Marchesani, 56, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 10:38 p.m. Monday on U.S. Route 9W on a misdemeano­r charge of criminal contempt. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Cairo

• DWI: Brian W. Valk, 39, of South Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 10:10 p.m. Monday on county Route 23B on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. He was released with a ticket for Cairo Town Court.

Catskill

• DWI: Scott F. Kocijanski, 48, of Saugerties, was arrested by Catskill village police at 11:12 p.m. Aug. 5 on Cedar Street on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. He was released

with a ticket for Catskill Village Court.

• Theft: Donna L. Maher, 64, of Catskill, was arrested by Catskill village police at 12:52 p.m. Aug. 6 on Dumond Street on a misdemeano­r charge of theft of services. Police said Maher did not pay for a cab ride she took. She was released with a ticket for Catskill Village Court.

• Obstructio­n: Valerin Veras Henriquez, 18, of Catskill, was arrested by Catskill village police at 2:20 p.m. Aug. 8 on Main Street on charges of criminal obstructio­n of breathing, a felony, assault and filing a false written statement, both misdemeano­rs. He was arraigned in Catskill Village Court and sent to Greene County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail pending a court appearance.

• Shopliftin­g: Rosemarie Augustine, 58, of Windham, was arrested by Catskill village police at 3:57 p.m. Saturday on a misdemeano­r charge of petit larceny. Police said Augustine stole merchandis­e from the Walmart store at Catskill Commons. She was released with a ticket for Catskill Village Court.

• DWI: Rachel M. Detweiler, 31, of Pine Plains, was arrested by Catskill village police at 2:38 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 9W on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. She was released with a ticket for Catskill Village Court.

• DWI: Jason M. Warmsley, 37, of Catskill, was arrested by Catskill village police at 4:04 a.m. Sunday on New Street on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. He was released with a ticket for Catskill Village Court.

• Burglary: Shannon L. Hughes, 31, of Troy, was arrested by Catskill village police at 2:23 p.m. Sunday on a charge of burglary, a felony. Police said Hughes was arrested after she stole $159.32 worth of merchandis­e from the Walmart store at Catskill Commons. She had previously been banned from being on Walmart’s property, police said. Hughes was arraigned in Catskill Village Court and sent to Greene County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail pending a court appearance.

Gardiner

• DWI: Daniel R. Oles, 23, of New Paltz, was arrested by state police at Highland at 10:55 p.m. Monday on state Route 208 on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. He was released with a ticket for Gardiner Town Court.

Lloyd

• Drugs: Francesco S. Caci, 36, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 3:11 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 9W on three counts each of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r, and possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container, a violation. He was released with tickets for Lloyd Town Court.

Red Hook

• DWI: Alberto Gutierrez-Hernandez, 33, of Kingston, was arrested by Red Hook police at 11:05 a.m. Saturday on misdemeano­r charges of aggravated drunken driving and drunken driving. Police said Gutierrez-Hernandez was stopped on state Route 9G after he was seen traveling 75 mph in a 45 mph zone. He was released with tickets for Red Hook Town Court.

• DWAI: Maria D. Peragine, 53, of Pawling, was arrested at 8:20 p.m. Saturday on misdemeano­r charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as a charge of possession of marijuana, a violation. Red Hook police said Peragine, who was arrested on North Broadway in the village, was released with tickets for Red Hook Village Court.

• DWI: Peter Zervas Jr., 27, of Franklin Lakes, N.J., was arrested by Red Hook police at 1:44 a.m. Sunday on state Route 9G and was charged with two counts of misdemeano­r drunken driving. He was released with tickets for Red Hook Town Court.

Woodstock

• Marijuana: Thomas N. Tommola, 25, of Shokan, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies Monday evening on a misdemeano­r charge of possession of marijuana. Deputies said Tommola was the passenger of a vehicle that was stopped at 10:50 p.m. on Mill Hill Road for a traffic violation. During an investigat­ion, more than two ounces of marijuana was found belonging to him, deputies said. Tommola was released with a ticket for Woodstock Town Court.
