Teresa M. ‘Terri’ Forte-Caballero, 59, of Beaufort, S.C.

Teresa M. “Terri” ForteCaballero, 59, of Beaufort, S.C., died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, at her home, with her children by her side.

Born July 16, 1958, in Kingston, she is the daughter of Joseph S. Forte and the late Teresa M. (Mitchell) Smith.

Teresa graduated from Dickinson High School in Jersey City, N.J., and resided in Hudson County, N.J. until 2008, when she moved to South Carolina.She was employed at The Beaufort Naval Hospital and MCRD, Parris Island, S.C. She will be forever remembered for her loving and kind nature, with an immeasurable love for her children and grandchildren, always putting others before herself, and helping those she could, with as much as she could.

Surviving are her children, Master Sgt. Joseph Hernandez and Teresa Hernandez, both of Beaufort, S.C.; her brothers and sisters, Marian Apprich of Vincentown, N.J., Joseph P. Forte and his wife Mary of the Town of Ulster, William J.J. Forte and his wife Doris of Kingston, Lawrence W. Forte of Kingston, Rose Forte-Piccoli and her husband Frank of Kingston, Lt. Col. Anthony K. Forte of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Luis Chapotin, Joel Fonseca, Angel Perez, Leena Lazo and Liam Lazo. Aunts, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

A brother, Edward Forte, died previously.
