Dora Ella Dunne, 94, of Kingston

Dora Ella Dunne, 94, wife of the late Lawrence Dunne Sr., died Friday evening, Aug. 25, 2017, at her home on Sheehan Court.

Born in Mohonk, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Eligh and Mary Catherine (Miller) Quick.

Dora was a homemaker, but also worked in various local garment factories, including Wonderly’s Drapery Factory. She enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, watching parades, the sunshine on her face and sewing her daughter’s clothes.

Dora is survived by her children, Kathy Ryan and her husband Don, Patricia Maki and her husband Dick, Lawrence Dunne Jr. and the outlaw, Maureen MacArthur; her son-inlaw, Gene Metsopolous; her grandchildren, Melissa, Shawna, Jason, Rebecca, Jennifer, Kristin, Sandy, Bruce and Rick; her great-grandchildren, Skylar, Zachary, Violet, Isabelle, Dillon, Jacob, Evan, Anna, Madison, Tricia, Heather, Cory, Kyle, Justin and Zackary; her greatgreat-grandchildren, Cassandra, Anthony, Blake, J’yanna, Jaizon, Alexz, Jaiden, Emah, Dominic, Kyleigh, Rylee, Brooklyn and twin grandsons on the way; her niece Jean Dunn and very special friend and neighbor, Connie Cucksy.

In addition to her husband, a daughter, June Metsopolous, a granddaughter, Katrina, brothers and sisters, Fredrick, Vernon, Elton, Raymond, Dora, Sadie, Lula, Jessie and Moe all predeceased her.

Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jvleahy f h.com).

The Dunne Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
