Catskill

• DWI: Robert W. Ellett, 58, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 6:56 p.m. Thursday at Cauterskil­l and Underhill roads in the town and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Ellett was released with a ticket for Catskill Town Court.

• DWI: Cody L. Doran, 27, of Mantua, N.J., was arrested by state police at Ulster at 4:51 p.m. Thursday on the New York State Thruway and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Doran was released with a ticket for Catskill Town Court.

Durham

• Drugs: David M. Hester, 20, of Nassau, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 10:45 p.m. Thursday on state Route 23 and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r. Hester was sent to the Greene County Jail pending a court appearance. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Lloyd

• Drugs: Richard Bonds, 27, and Kendrick Robinson, 24, both of Newburgh, were arrested by state police at Highland at 1:30 a.m. Friday at state Route 299 and U.S. Route 9W. Bonds was charged with felony possession of a narcotic with intent to sell and with misdemeano­r possession of more than 25 grams of marijuana. Robinson was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Bonds was released from the Ulster County Jail on Friday after posting $5,000 bond. Robinson remained at the jail Friday in lieu of $5,000 bail, pending a court appearance.

Saugerties

• Obstructio­n of breathing: Daniel E. Cox, 55, of state Route 212, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police Thursday and was charged with obstructio­n of breathing and assault, both misdemeano­rs. Cox is accused of knocking a victim to the ground, placing his knee into the victim’s chest and choking the victim with his hands. He was released after posting $500 bail and an order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf.

Town of Ulster

• Shopliftin­g: Oscar S. Moss, 57, of Port Ewen, was arrested by town of Ulster police at 5:09 p.m. Thursday and was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeano­r. Moss is accused of shopliftin­g $84.16 worth of merchandis­e from the Shoprite store at 800 Miron Lane. Moss was released with a ticket for Ulster Town Court.
