City of Kingston

•Drugs: Nicolas J. Cabigeos, 23, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 3:20 a.m. Friday on Josephine Avenue and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a misdemeano­r. Cabigeos was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by deputies and the cocaine was discovered in the course of the investigat­ion. He was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court.

•DWI: Zachary R. Selke, 25, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 12:35a.m. Aug. 26 on Murray Street and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Selke was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court.

Athens

•DWI: Felix A. Daigle, 30, of Montreal, Quebec, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 3:39 a.m. Monday on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Daigle was sent to the Greene County Jail pending a court appearance. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Catskill

• DWI: Austin M. Considine, 38, of Brooklyn, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 1:48 a.m. Monday on state Route 23 in the village and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Considine was released with a ticket for Catskill Village Court.

Esopus

• DWAI-drugs and alcohol: Charles L. Bishop Jr., 51, of Ulster Park, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after a traffic stop on state Route 213 and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol, a misdemeano­r, as well as several traffic violations. Bishop was released with a ticket for Esopus Town Court.

New Paltz

•DWI: Nathan R. Varner, 38, of Greenfield Park, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 4:26 a.m. Aug. 26 and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a bloodalcoh­ol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs, as well as with several vehicle and traffic violations. Varner was released with a ticket for New Paltz Town Court.

Plattekill

• Weapon: Tiara L. Johnson, 21, of Plattekill, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 1 a.m. Aug. 29 on Plattekill-Ardonia Road and was charged with misdemeano­r of possession of a weapon and with possession of marijuana, a violation, along with the traffic infraction of failure to stop for a stop sign. Deputies stopped Johnson on Plattekill-Ardonia Road and found her in possession of an electric stun gun and a quantity of marijuana. She was released with a ticket for Plattekill Town Court. State police and their police dogs assisted in the arrest.

• Weapon: Luke Harrow, 64, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 6:15 p.m. Sunday and was charged with possession of a weapon (a firearm) and menacing, both misdemeano­rs. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Rhinebeck

• Weapon: Eljay V. Danti Murray, 21, of Rhinebeck, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 3 p.m. Sunday and was charged with assault, menacing with a weapon, criminal mischief and possession of a weapon with intent to use, all misdemeano­rs. Further informatio­n, including the exact location of Danti-Murray’s arrest, was unavailabl­e.

Town of Rochester

• Obstructio­n of government­al administra­tion: Cody A. Suitter, 21, of Accord, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Lucas Turnpike and was charged with obstructio­n of government­al administra­tion and possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeano­rs, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. Suitter was released with a ticket for Rochester Town Court.

Saugerties

• Fleeing an officer: Gary R. Prusa, 34, of West Hurley, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies sometime after 7:40 p.m. Aug. 29 after leading town of Ulster police, Saugerties police and sheriff’s deputies on a chase. He was charged with fleeing a police officer and reckless driving, both misdemeano­rs, along with numerous traffic tickets. Ulster police initially attempted to pull Prusa over on U.S. Route 9W near Tuytenbrid­ge Road after he was seen driving recklessly on a motorcycle. Prusa fled into Saugerties, where Saugerties police and sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop him. He fled, followed by officers onto various roads in Saugerties, back into Ulster and then back to Saugerties. Finally, Prusa failed to negotiate a curve on Blue Mountain Road in Saugerties and ran off the roadway. He was taken to the Health-Alliance Hospital’s Broadway Campus in Kingston and was later released with a ticket for Saugerties Town Court.

Town of Ulster

• Endangerin­g: Melissa S. McGrath, 35, of Eddyville, and Elizabeth M. McGrath, 36, of Ulster Park, were arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday and were each charged with endangerin­g the welfare of a child and assault, both misdemeano­rs. On Wednesday, officers from town of Ulster police and state troopers responded to a 911 report of a dispute on Creek Locks Road in the town of Ulster hamlet of Eddyville and learned the McGraths had a dispute with a third person and had struck the victim in the had and torso multiple times with their hands and feet causing scratches and contusions. Both were released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.

• Shopliftin­g: Patrick J. Palmatier, 21, of Hyde Park, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3:22 p.m. Sunday at the Walmart store at 601 Frank E. Sottile Blvd. and was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeano­r. Palmatier was released with a ticket for Ulster Town Court.
