A stylish, highend craft and design fair is to be held Oct. 6-8 at the Hutton Brickyards.
“Field + Supply: A Modern Maker’s Craft Fair” is expected draw at least 60 craft vendors who are “a carefully curated selection of makers highlighting goods, old and new, from a variety of studios and workshops representing a wide range of crafts,” according to the fair’s website.

A press release describes the event as “a carefully curated selection of artisans [that] will highlight hand-crafted goods, old and new, from a variety of studios and workshops.”
The fair is the brainchild of Manhattan-based interior designer Brad Ford.

“This year’s fair will kick
off with a preview cocktail party, private dinners and live music, all capped by a celebration Saturday evening to toast this year’s makers,” the press release says. Tickets also are on sale for hands-on workshops to be presented throughout the weekend by L’Ecole des
Beaux Arts at which attendees will learn from experts how to create hand-made goods.Tickets can be purchased online at www.fieldandsupply.com, and a list of exhibitors is posted on the website, as well. This will be fourth time the “Field + Supply” fair has been held in the
Hudson Valley but the first time it will be at the Hutton Brickyards, home of the monthly Smorgasburg Upstate market and the site of two concerts in June by folk-rock music legend Bob Dylan.
The “Field + Supply” organizers are partnering with
Smorgasburg Upstate, “to bring a carefully selected group of food vendors and craft beer, wine and spirits” to the Oct. 6-8 event, the press release says.
Karl Slovin, president of Hutton Brickyards owner MWest Holdings Inc., said in an emailed statement
Wednesday that the “Field + Supply” event is a “highdesign clothing, furniture, arts and crafts fair, and we are thrilled to host [it] at the Hutton Brickyards this year. ... This is a terrific opportunity to bring Hudson Valley residents a truly top-notch cultural event.”
