Saugerties won a wild five-set battle with Red Hook in MHAL volleyball action, pulling out a 21-25, 26-24, 25-20, 11-25, 25-21 triumph. Sammy Schatzel had 15 kills, a pair of blocks and one ace in the win.

Sammy Schatzel had 15 skill, a pair of blocks and one ace and Mackenzie Perpetua dished out 10 assists and dealt an ace to lead the Sawyers.

Kassie Miller had a great all-around effort with 10 assists, seven aces, four blocks, two kills and two digs and Madeline Boucher (12 kills, three blocks) and Abby Carney (five aces, four kills, one block, one dig) also had outstandin­g matches to lad Red Hook. Rondout 3, Marlboro 0
