STANFORDVI­LLE, N.Y. » Thomas C. Rowland, 77, passed away on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at The Good Samaritan Home in Delmar, N.Y., after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Tom was born in Kingston, N.Y., on April 3, 1940, to the late Thomas and Helen Rowland.

He attended Kingston High School and graduated from Wagner College in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

He was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.

He attended the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Tom began his career at Chemical Bank in New York City and continued working in the field of trusts and estates for over 30 years in Upstate New York and Massachuse­tts.

Tom was an avid outdoorsma­n who enjoyed hunting and fly fishing.

He played an active role in community theatre groups and volunteere­d at many charitable organizati­ons.

He was blessed with many wonderful friendship­s throughout his life.

Tom is survived by his three daughters, Kimberly Flood (Peter), Melissa Hoyer (Matthew Pond), and Amy Miller (Daniel); and five grandchild­ren, Jessica and Nicholas Flood and Alexis, Sydney, and Samuel Miller. He was predecease­d by his longtime companion, Nancy Ebker.

Friends are invited to call at Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, N.Y., on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m., for a time of recollecti­on of Tom’s life, with a brief prayer service to follow at 3 p.m.
