Regina Gertrude Mihm, 93, of Accord

ACCORD » Regina Gertrude Mihm, 93, of Accord, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at her home, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Kingston on Feb. 18, 1924, a daughter of the late John and Clara Lippert Dellay. Regina graduated from New Paltz High School and continued on to receive a business degree from Moran’s School of Business. Regina worked for the U.S. Navy at Iona Island during World War II, where she met her future husband, Carl Joseph Mihm. They wed at St. Peter’s Church in Rosendale on May 11, 1946, and were married 60 years until his passing Sept. 6, 2006. Carl and Regina lived and raised their family of 11 children in Rosendale prior to moving to Accord in their beautiful retirement home with the gorgeous view.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. Regina’s smile would light up the room wherever she went.

She was a devout Catholic and a lifelong parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in Rosendale. A highlight in her life was visiting the Holy Land. She also fulfilled a lifelong dream by attending the Rose Bowl Parade in California. Regina is survived by 10 children: William, Diane, Colleen, Mary, Joseph, John, Regina, James, Paul, and Ann Marie; 27 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and one greatgreat-grandchild.

A son, Carl John Mihm, died Jan. 25, 1994.

Her funeral will be held from the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc. on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Rosendale. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday 4 to 8 p.m.
