Washingtonville swims to victory over Kingston
Alyssa Martin and Paige Bacigal won two individual events each, leading Washingtonville High to a 98-88 Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association girls swim victory over Kingston.
Alyssa Martin and Paige Bacigal won two individual events each, leading Washingtonville High to a 98-88 Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association girls swim victory over Kingston.
Martin won the 200yard (2:06.31) and 500 (5:37.42) freestyles, while Bacigal was victorious in the 100 butterfly (1:03.51) and 100 backstroke (1:03.10).
Bacigal and Martin teamed with Kayla DiLiberto and Hana Regenauer to win the 400 freestyle relay.
Bacigal also teamed with Julia Laquidara, Elissa Miller and Olivia Brown to capture the 200 medley relay, while Martin, Brown, DiLiberto and Miller won the 200 free relay.
Alexandra Mitchell captured the 200 individual medley in 2:22.73 for the Tigers, while Angelina Vertullo was first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.71.
Kingston’s Sabrina Browning, meanwhile, captured the diving event with 191.50 points.
