Dawn M. Slinsky Brown, 51, of Kerhonkson

Dawn M. Slinsky Brown of Kerhonkson, N.Y., passed away on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017. She was 51 years old.

Dawn was born on March 5, 1966, in Ellenville; the daughter of Charles P. Slinsky and the late Rachel Ruth (Burggraf) Slinsky.

Dawn was an area resident for most of her life. On Sept. 12, 1987, she married Terry Brown in Ellenville, N.Y. Together they raised their family and enjoyed over 30 years with one another. Dawn enjoyed crocheting and many other crafts, she loved gardening and especially taking care of her family. She was affectionately known to most as “Mama Dawn.”

Besides her father Charles, and her husband Terry, Dawn is survived by her daughter Jessica Brown of Cragsmoor and her son Cameron Brown of Kerhonkson. Her sisters and brother, Deborah Karagosian and her husband John, of Evans, Georgia, Dusty Meoli and her husband Anthony of Accord, Danielle Slinsky and her wife Heidi of Port Ewen, and James Slinsky and his wife Sarah of Accord. Also surviving are her mother and father-in-law, Betty L. and Leeland C. Brown, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 29th, from 6 to 7 p.m. with a celebration of her life immediately following at Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson.
