Ryan, TerBush pace Kingston at Queensbury

Bailey Ryan and Hallie TerBush were the top finishers for Kingston High at Saturday’s Queensbury Invitation­al cross country meet. The Tiger girls placed seventh, while the boys squad placed 12th.

Bailey Ryan and Hallie TerBush were the top finishers for Kingston High at Saturday’s Queensbury Invitation­al cross country meet.

Ryan placed 20th in 17:15 — besting his 3.1-mile personal record by 30 seconds — to lead the Tigers to 12th place in the varsity boys meet, while TerBush was 22nd in 21:05, as Kingston’s varsity girls placed seventh.

For the boys, Bradley Hack was 48th in 18:03, while Gio Melchione placed 48th in 18:07. Other Kingston finishers were Eddy Zajac (71st, 18:52); Cameron Fairley (93rd, 19:46); Matt Krom (101st, 20:19); Justin Hovorka (107th, 21:06) and Jordan Hulbert (113th, 22:03).

Clara Sensini placed 31st for the Kingston girls in 21:28, followed by Morgan Juric (34th, 21:34); Maggie Noe (43rd, 22:11); Livi Longendyke (62nd, 23:27) and Marine Nimblette (85th, 24:39).

In the junior varsity girls race, Molly Green finished 42nd in 25:39 to lead the Tigers to eighth place. Kaliya Hough was 46th in 25:46, followed by Carly Harjes (49th, 25:50); Gabby Karamanos (134th, 30:59) and Kaitlyn Curran (139th, 32:26).

In the freshman boys race on a 1.8-mile course, Colin Keck placed first in 9:43 to lead Kingston to third place. Jack Gallo placed 11th in 10:17, with Andrew Hill finishing in the same time for 12th place. Other Kingston finishers were Trevor Loughlin (21st, 10:31); Joe Ciardi (22nd, 10:38); Gabe Bonse (23rd, 10:39); Paul Herrling (24th, 10:40) and Tristan Mochon (32nd, 10:54).

In the freshman girls race, Amber Rolleri placed 45th in 13:27 to lead the Tigers to fifth place. Kailyn Oreglio finished 54th in 13:43, followed by Trinity Kara (60th, 14:04); Tyler Bollin (67th, 14:50); Cadence Blatter (81st, 17:44) and Carolyn Vargas (83rd, 18:23).

Kingston returns to action on Oct. 3 with an Orange County Interschol­astic Athletic Associatio­n Division 1 meet at Pine Bush.
