Minnow Motors rallies for men’s E triumph

KINGSTON, N.Y. » Trailing 15-3, Minnow Motors rallied for five runs in the fifth inning and put up an 11-spot in the sixth en route to a 19-16 win over Mainetti, Mainetti and O’Connor in a Kingston Recreation League men’s softball E Division contest.

Mainetti had scored four in the second, three in the third and piled on seven more in the fourth to mount the seemingly insurmountable 15-3 lead.

Aagron Brown belted a home run and double and had two RBi and Nick Brown hit four singles and had two RBI to lead Minnow.

Ronnell Tinsley hit three singles to pace Mainetti in the loss.

Jimmy Murphy hit two home runs, a double and had three RBI as Patel’s walked off with a 12-11 win over Patel’s Kingston Lanes.

With Patel’s Up 5-2 going into the fourth Dibella’s put up a four spot to pull ahead 6-5, only for Patel’s to rally for six to go ahead 116. But Dibella’s would chip away for two in the fifth and sixth and one in the top of the seventh to tie the score at 11-11 heading into the final frame.

Pat Massa tripled and had three RBI and Dan Quesnell tripled and knocked in a run to lead Patel’s.

Jim Murphy homered twice, smacked a doubled and had three RBI to pace Dibella’s in the loss.

A six-run seventh lifted Fromson Law to a 17-15 victory over DiBella’s pizza.

With Fromson up 7-1 in the fourth DiBella’s rallied for eight in the bottom frame to take an 9-7 lead, but Fromson would put up a four spot in the fifth to go up 11-9, only to surrender three in the bottom frame to hand Dibella’s a 1211 lead. But Fromson Law would put answer back with sixth in the seventh to seal the win.

J.D. Hartwell and Shawn Parker hit three singles and Kyle Gribulis belted a double to lead Fromson.

Mike Stewart hit a home run and had three RBI to pace DiBella’s in the past.
