KINGSTON CLAIMS SENIOR DAY SWEEP
Tiger boys defeat Newburgh, 18-40; girls prevail 24-33
Kingston High’s cross country celebrated Senior Day with a sweep of its dual meet with Newburgh Free Academy Tuesday.
The Tigers won the girls meet 24-33 and the boys 18-40. They took individual honors with Robert Becker winning in 17 minutes and Halie TerBush in 20:43.
The Tigers captured the top four spots in the boys race with Bradley Hack (second, 17:30), Bailey Ryan (third, 17:45) and Gio Melchionne (fourth, 17:55) following Becker.
Maggie Noe was third (20:57), Clara Sensini (21:39) fifth and Morgan Juric (21:50) sixth for Kingston.
Other Tiger runners in the boys race were Collin Keck (eighth, 18:37), Gabe Bonse (11th, 19:06), Cameron Fairley (12th, 19:07), Jack Gallo (13th, 19:08), Eddie Zajac (14th, 19:32), Tristan Machon (15th, 19:58), Joseph Ciardi (16th, 20:00), Paul Herrling (19th, 20:21), Jordan Hobert (21st,
20:30), Andrew Hill (22nd, 20:31), Matthew Korg (23rd, 20:46), Justin Hovorka (25th, 20:57), Cole Elmendorf (27th, 21:11), Kenny Straker (28th, 22:04), Reyhan Quayam (30th, 22:22) and Fernando Guerra (32nd, 22:33).
Also running for the Kingston girls were Livi Longendyke (ninth, 23:09), Thea Kovaleski (10th, 23:29), Amelia Loughlin (11th, 23:47), Marine Nimblette (12th, 23:57), Molly
Green (13th, 24:31), Trinity Caea (15th, 25:29), Savannah Nimblette (18th, 26:02), Kailyn Oreglio (19th, 26:26), Kaitlin Curry (21st, 27:05), Kaliya Hough (25th, 28:24), Emily Loughlin (26th, 29:15), Cadence Blatter (28th, 29:50), Babby Karamanos (30th, 31:26), Tyler Bollin (31st, 31:29) and Caroline Vergas (35th, 36:54).
Kingston heads to Rhode Island this weekend for the Brown University Invitational.
